For years, a campaign to discredit the category of doctors has proliferated without shame. Some 'people', taking advantage of the political and cultural climate, took what they probably consider a job opportunity by structuring their activity on compensation for "medical fault" or "medical malpractice". Known to all are the advertising campaigns that promise, free of charge (and unlawfully) to obtain compensation from hospitals or doctors. We have decided to contrast this modus operandi but not only because we think it is deleterious - and the first effects are already visible, just think of "defensive medicine" - but because we believe that the role of the lawyer is also damaged. This does not mean that we do not assist people who are victims of medical malpractice (this would also be unfair) but more simply that we reserve the right / duty to evaluate the validity of the individual causes that we are asked to sponsor before accepting the mandate. some "businesses" advertise themselves by offering free services to patients who complain that they have suffered harm. This operational methodology has led to a huge increase in the lawsuits filed against healthcare professionals. Moreover, as if this were not enough, the doctor, in addition to undergoing the pressure of an unfair procedure, is also forced to pay the costs, with the concrete risk, that once the process is defined, once the reason is obtained, it is not even possible to recover expenses incurred.
